Chiropractic Manipulations


A common method for chiropractors to treat back pain and neck pain which involves the chiropractor applying thrusts of varying speed and force to spinal joints that are causing dysfunction and related pain. Also referred to as chiropractic adjustment or spinal adjustment.

Therapeutic Exercises


The use of physical activity or training as a means of improving flexibility, health, strength or well being; fostering recovery from injury or surgery; preventing complications of injury or illness; or improving or maintaining functional performance.

Myofascial Release


A manipulative treatment that attempts to release tension in the fascia due to trauma, posture or inflammation. Connective tissues called fascia surround the muscles, bones, nerves and organs of the body.

Therapeutic Massage


A technique of physical therapy in which the therapist performs manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person’s health and well-being.

Active Release Technique


ART is a patented soft tissue technique that is system and movement-based. It is used for the treatment of muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves, and is an effective treatment for a variety of overuse and sports-related injuries.

The Fascial Distortion Model is followed as a means of treating soft tissue injuries and musculoskeletal complaints. In this model there are six specific types of fascial distortion and each of these have their own distinct form of correction.

Fascial Manipulation


Fascial Manipulation is a form of manual therapy used to treat a variety of musculoskeletal problems. It uses a complete biochemical model to assist in understanding the role of fascia in specific musculoskeletal complaints, and identifies and manipulates the specific point on the fascia causing the pain.

Graston Technique


Graston Technique is a form of soft-tissue mobilization that treats scar tissue and fascial restrictions using specially-designed stainless steel instruments.
